About The United States Association of Immigrants

OUR VISION: To become the top USA immigration social network in the world.

OUR GOAL: To provide members with useful "New to America" information, the most current and relevant Immigration News from top sources, and together with our partnership with myGreencard.com and ethical lottery services, to be the most most complete Diversity Visa reference available anywhere.

OUR VALUES: An economically viable, compassionate, and comprehensive immigration reform platform that recognizes the special place immigration holds in American culture and history. We encourage all Legal Permanent Residents to pursue U.S. Citizenship as soon as possible, to vote in every election, and for all new Americans to fully adopt the English language. We support the Dream Act and the pursuit of an education, particularly a higher education, by all qualified immigrants to the U.S. We advocate a pro legal-immigration, progressive voice to help solve the social problems at the root of global mass migration including: world hunger, jobs, health care, income inequality, violence and the environment. Our current focus is to help illustrate how the discourse on pressing socio-economic problems is being distorted, particularly by the American right wing cable news media.

WHO WE ARE: The United States Association of Immigrants at myUSAi.org was founded in 2007 in Santa Barbara, California by Mark Jacobsen, Attorney at Law, to provide a web site where immigrants can enter the green card lottery for free, access free visa and immigration forms, and meet others with similar interests.

In 2008, myUSAi partnered with Creative Networks at myGreencard.com to provide immigration reports and related studies, and an annual booklet dedicated to the diversity visa lottery. Co-authored by J. Stephen Wilson, Win the Green Card Lottery! is written for DV lottery entrants, foreign students, NAFSA members, human resource representatives, paralegals, and others who work with U.S. visa holders, this annual booklet includes detailed explanations of family eligibility, critical tips for entrants, recommendations for winners, and much more. The 2011 edition was edited by Michael C. Cruse, Esq. Immigration Attorney. He is also the moderator of the myUSAi Discussion ForumImmigration Questions topic area

In 2009, we expanded the United States Association of Immigrants to include full social networking capabilities allowing immigrants and others to form specialized groups, upload photos and videos, and get in contact with people and services they need. J. Stephen Wilson is currently the President and CEO. He moderates the myUSAi Discussion Forum, Green Card Lottery category, and writes on immigration and related issues with Examiner.com.
